About Me
I was born in Hillsboro, Oregon and grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Now residing in Boise, Idaho, I’m enjoying the contrasting beauty of high desert landscapes. I find inspiration especially in the sky, nature, and wildlife.
My husband, Nick, and I travel, camp, and hike as often as we can; never missing an opportunity to bring our dog along. Nick is a creator as well and I’m blessed to have his photography from our travels for continued inspiration at home.
Art has always been fascinating to me. I love the way color and texture can transform the feeling of a space. When it comes to painting, watercolor was my first love (being more accessible to explore on my own growing up). While earning my bachelors degree in Psychology at Gonzaga University I had the opportunity to take an oil painting course. I quickly decided to tack on an art minor and took several more oil painting and drawing courses during my time at GU. Oils are my go-to these days but I continue to enjoy pushing outside my comfort zone with different techniques and mediums.
